Alaus oculatus (eyed click beetle) is one of the largest and most beautiful click beetles of the Eastern cost area. This specimen is approximately 35mm long.
Shooting location: Long Island, NY, Target Rock National Wildlife Refuge
Flash type: (Canon 580EX + handmade diffuser)+2*(Canon 430EX + Lumiquest Ultrasoft)
Lens: Sigma 150mm macro + modified Kenko extension tubes, 12+20+36=68 mm
